Framboise WIP model by x-Ren-x Framboise WIP model by x-Ren-x
I've already submitted this to the blenderartist.org forums some time ago, but I only started having some time in the evening to work a bit on it recently (and of course, in the mean time I forgot what little I knew about Blender...). I've tried to fix the topology of the face as suggested, but I still need to modify her outfit, as I had a change of heart and decided to stray from the original idea and go for something more JRPGish.

As a first project it's probably ambitious, but I'm helping myself with Adrian Williamson's 2010 Blender training tutorials - so hopefully I'll get somewhere when this crunch time will be finished at work. :3 I will stray a bit from the tutorial for the hair I think - I'm not fond of the idea of using particles for this paricular kind of style, so I'll probably reference the Blenderella tutorial for that, and the wonderful TdA Hatsune Miku model. I purchased that to reference quite a few things they do (the eyes I thought worked quite well, and I would have never thought of doing them like that myself!) and I hope I can learn from it.

Please feel free to comment as bluntly as you want. I'm still at my first project, and due to time constraints it's proceeding very slowly but I'd like to hear any tip I can get from more experienced people. In the mean time I'll work on a more detailed reference for her so I have something to work on.

Thanks in advance! So much stuff to learn! >_<

You can download the .blend file, if you feel like it. :)

Ah, thanks! I do agree that it needs to be... slenderised a bit. :D

I'll certainly reference the tutorials in the link, thanks a bunch for showing it to me! I really should get back to this now that I'm less busy with work, but I had so much stuff left back (tiding the house etc.) that I put it off for a bit.

I knooooow! I've been working quite a bit, and I've been trying to be productive in the evenings that I get (with mixed results). :)
I hope you're doing OK! I read that your game design document for DaFool's game was 40 pages - it must be quite interesting!

Ah well keep up the good work then ^_^. And say hello if you do hop on Skype ;)

I'm doing fine, though still jobless. But I'm using this time to be a bit more productive. Eyeing Interactive Fiction these days.

Yeah, it was a big document, though its bullet point form helped push the number of pages ^^;
I'm a bit sad there aren't much news from the project :|

Will do! Hopefully at some point in the future I'll have more free time. :)

Please let me know if you produce anything interesting: I've told you before I really enjoyed MB and I'd be really glad to play something else from you (although I'm sure there's older stuff that I have missed - I have a huge backlog of stuff).

I think the whole Nekosoft studio is in a bit of a pause for the moment, from what I read on Planet EVN - I hope any problem they have they'll be able to solve it soon and then keep working on their projects. :D

I don't think there's much older stuff you might have missed. MB is the only complete project I've had. There was the unfinished Utsukushii Planet, which is quite long as it is, but ends after what should feel like the end of a long prologue or "chapter 1". Not much else apart from small tests and such.

I'm currently trying (enormous emphasis on "trying") to do some Interactive Fiction. I have finished a very very small one in French, though it's not publishing material. I have another "just the introduction" one called Witchy, in English this time. And I'm trying to come up with something else, small, but that could be distributed and considered "complete".

Checked Planet EVN quickly and didn't find much on Nekosoft, but yeah, DaFool told me things were going slowly ^^;
